made in italy. worn everywhere.
We started in Cesare's garage in Pescara, back in 2016, with a stubborn belief in doing things differently. Today we still work from Pescara, but from our own factory, with a team drawn from the local area. Nothing about that has changed. We've just got better at it.
Every piece is designed, treated and finished here. Nothing is outsourced, nothing is farmed out to keep costs down. If it carries the Wild Donkey name, someone in this building had a hand in making it.
Our process
Our garments go through the same steps a piece would have gone through fifty years ago, just with people who've spent their whole working lives doing it properly. Pigment-dyeing, screen printing, hand-finishing, wash treatments that take a stiff new fabric and give it the feel of something you've owned for years. It's slow. It's meant to be.
We draw on vintage markets and archive references from all over the world for inspiration, then remake what we find using our own hands and our own methods, so it comes out familiar but never identical to anything else.
the people
Our team is local to Pescara. Some have been with us since the garage days, most learned their trade here on the factory floor. It's a small team, which means every garment passes through hands that know exactly what they're doing, not a production line built for speed.
why it matters
We could make this faster and cheaper somewhere else. We don't, because the honesty of a garment made properly, by people who care whether it lasts, is the entire point of Wild Donkey. It's a small difference. We think it's the one that matters most.
